The game has a very cartoony feel to it, a lot like Mario Kart. However, the environments are a bit more dynamic than Mario Kart, with people walking across the track and various other wrenches getting thrown in the gears of your progress.You can choose from three different cars: a sporty race car, a monster truck and a Hummer-looking truck. Each car has its own traits and strengths. The sporty race car is fast but can be turned over easily, the Hummer is somewhat more stable but slower and the monster truck is a well-rounded vehicle. You progress through the game by earning money by completing circuits. As you earn cash, you can purchase new upgrades to beef up your car. The racing in RC Cars is pretty simplistic, but it can be quite fun.

The physics engine is very simple, your car bounces against objects, and there really isn’t any kind of serious need to control your speed or use any kind of strategy along the tracks: essentially just put the pedal to the metal and try not to run into anything along the way.The graphics in RC Cars are fun and have a light, colorful look. The car models look very good, reflecting light in a realistic manor and the environments are cool, bustling with activity. Plus, the action moves at a very fast and smooth pace with no hiccups in the framerates. The music is a strange brew of European techno, house music and rock. The sound effects are fairly simple, composed primarily of the whirring engine noises and the occasional wreck sounds. RC Cars is shaping up to be a fun albeit simple racing game. The arcade style may feel a little redundant to some, but those looking for an easy to pick up racing game in the spirit of Mario Kart should give this one a look.

AMD's 3.4GHz Phenom II X4 965 Black Edition

Say what you will about AMD, but don't you dare call it lazy. Within a matter of weeks, the outfit has launched a 2GB FirePro for um, pros, a 785G integrated chip for laypeople and now a new Phenom II X4 for the gamers in attendance. The all new Phenom II X4 965 Black Edition is the "highest clocked quad-core processor for desktop PCs," checking in with a stock frequency of 3.4GHz and support for DDR3 and AMD OverDrive 3.0. Based on the Dragon platform, the chip is actually identical to the 955 it replaces at the top save for the clock speed, and during the collective web's testing, it easily outpaced every other AMD option out there. Unfortunately, it still couldn't put the hurt on a smattering of Intel chips, with the Core 2 Extreme QX9770 and Core i7 920 besting it in all but a few tests. All told, the chip was found to be an incremental (albeit fun) update, but given that it's currently priced between Intel's Core 2 Quad Q9550 ($219) and the aforesaid Core i7 920 ($279), it's not a clear-cut bargain at $245. Still, give it a lil' shelf time, let the MSRP sink and it just might be worth another look in due time.

Nokia rumored Symbian OS to the curb, moving in with Maemo

 

Poor Symbian. Sony Ericsson's been giving you some hot play with its Satio smartphone, but lately it seems Nokia wants little to do with you, always throwing a cold shoulder and mentioning what a great guy that Maemo dude is. Now, according to rumors from the (still pink) German Financial Times, Nokia is looking to drop Symbian OS altogether and move to Maemo wholesale, powering not just its internet tablets but also its smartphones, the first of which is due in "the next few weeks" -- possibly referring to the RX-51 Rover that's been out and about lately. According to the report, the Symbian OS just can't keep up with the younger players these days; "far too cumbersome to work with." Nokia has issued a typical no comment, but interestingly last night's mention of a "alliance" between Microsoft and Nokia for the creation of Office for Nokia phones made no explicit mention of Office for Symbian. Intrigue; we love it.

Update: As Reggie has pointed out in the comments, Peter Schneider, Nokia's Maemo marketing guru, has put the brakes on this rumor via Twitter. "No, Nokia is not replacing Symbian with Maemo. Symbian and Maemo will continue to coexist."

iPhone Email with Pre-Formatted Text with speed up

iPhone: Emails can be unique, but sometimes you just need to tell the boss you're "Running 10 minutes late," or ask a spouse what they need from the store. Pastie makes sending common text blocks to contacts fast and easy.
Pastie gives you a space to type out common messages, then decide whether you want to assign those messages a specific contact and delivery method (email or SMS), or decide when you click the "Pastie." For non-email and SMS purposes, Pastie also allows for quick clipboard copies of your text snippets to be pasted into any other app. The free/Lite version limits users to three text blocks, while the $1.99 full version does no such thing.

Microsoft and Nokia has announce Office coming to Mobile

 

We didn't expect too many fireworks from Microsoft and Nokia's joint teleconference this morning, and, well, we didn't get any. As expected, Office Mobile is coming to Symbian, along with Office Communicator Mobile, SharePoint, and Microsoft System Center, and the two companies also said they'll be working on "future user experiences" for Nokia customers. Don't get too worked up about that, though -- Nokia said it was "deeply committed to Symbian," and that "there are no such plans" to work on a Windows Mobile device. So much for that. We did ask whether this partnership would affect Nokia's rumored Maemo plans, and we were told that development is Symbian-focused for now, but that there might be "other business opportunities" in the future, so at least that door remains open a hair -- but for the most part this is all about Microsoft and Nokia trying to stake out a stronger enterprise position, not anything else. Palm Pre

 

Android's supposed to be all about peace, love, and openness, but that apparently doesn't exempt it from copyright law and trigger-happy general counsels (who knew?). In a move that should come as absolutely no surprise to anyone, Palm has sicced its legal team on the makers of the aptly-named "Palm Pre Android Theme" that borrows icons, wallpapers, and mojo (not to be confused with Mojo) directly from webOS. The concerns center around the usual suspects -- graphics copyrights and trademark infringement -- and the company is demanding that they cease use of the Pre's interface, name, and all that good stuff by some date that's been redacted from the leaked letter (we're assuming it's soon). To be fair, Palm comes out and says that it "appreciates that imitation is the most sincere form of flattery," but at the end of the day, they're concerned about the potential for consumer confusion. Interestingly, to the best of our knowledge, they haven't given the iPhone-based theme the same treatment -- but hey, maybe it's easier to confuse a Hero with a Pre than it is an iPhone... or something.

Taken 2008 DvDrip

Taken is a 2008 French action thriller film starring Liam Neeson, Famke Janssen, and Maggie Grace. It is based on a script by Luc Besson and Robert Mark Kamen and was directed by Pierre Morel. Neeson plays a former Central Intelligence Agency operative who sets about tracking down his teenage daughter after she is kidnapped by slave traders while traveling in Europe.
